Make use of email marketing
Once upon a time, we used to pick up the phone book and call people randomly, hoping that one of them would be interested in buying one of our products. Most of the time that didn’t really work, as understandably, people don’t really like being bothered whilst they’re trying to eat their dinner or watch TV! Things have changed since then, however, as we now have email to use, and that doesn’t disturb anyone!
Email marketing is a great way to reach out to more people and keep them up to date with the promotions and discounts your business is currently offering. This may then turn into a sale, which means you’ve achieved your overall aim!
Email marketing can be used in order to initiate contact with a client, e.g. after obtaining their email address when they sign up to a newsletter, and then in order to stay in touch with them afterward.
Make sure your blog is regularly updated
A blog is a fantastic lead generation strategy and one of the easiest. If your website has a blog already, make sure it’s regularly updated with interesting content. However, if you don’t have a blog, it’s time to get one!
Don’t update your blog too much, twice per week is more than enough, but make sure that once you set a frequency, you don’t allow it to drop. You may find that your followers are looking for content and if you let them down, they won’t look again!
Make sure you add SEO into your blog posts with carefully chosen and inserted keywords, internal links to products and services here and there, and remember to add a subtle call to action at the end.
Make sure your social media feeds are regularly updated too
It’s not only about your blog, but it’s also about your social media pages. Make sure that you’re active on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn and make sure that your posts are regular. If you blog twice per week, you need to be active daily on your social media. People are super-active on any of the above platforms, so you need to be equally as active in order to grab their attention.
However, this doesn’t mean posting for the sake of it, as you need to make sure that any content you post is relevant and high quality. Make sure you’re posting about things which are important to your target audience and make sure that you’re speaking to people one on one, e.g. that your language is conversational. This will help you to generate leads because it’s almost like having a personal conversation with them.
If you’re not sure what to post, think about the problems and issues that your target audience might have or experience. Then, work out ways to help them solve them or aid them within your social media content. That’s certainly going to grab the attention and help you to develop leads.
Update your offers regularly
Everyone loves a freebie or a bargain, so make sure that you’re offering great deals and offers on a regular basis. When posting about these, be careful of the language you use, as there are certain phrases which can grab the attention in a positive way more than others – words and phrases such as exclusive, grab it now, before stocks run out are good options here.
However, don’t give away just anything. Make sure that the offer you put forth is something of high interest to your target audience. You also need to persuade them to go for it by giving them some proof of the quality. The more proof you can give (testimonials, reviews, etc), the more chance of grabbing their attention.
Don’t forget to network within your industry
Not everything within your lead generation plan has to be digital and there are still face to face events that you need to attend. If there are any conferences or networking opportunities around your local area, make sure that you attend and make sure that you mingle like your life depends on it! Give out your business card and make sure that your website is clearly marked upon it. If you have the chance, give a presentation and try your best to make as many new connections as possible. You never know where these may lead you.
Lead Generation Strategies Made Simple!
As you can see, lead generation might sound complicated but it’s actually rather easy. It’s about giving your potential customers what they want and need, and then doing your best to sell it to them in a subtle, digital way.
